WHAT IS THE EUROPEAN PROTOCOL?
The European Protocol can be used under the following conditions: no injured (dead) people, drivers involved in road accidents have civil liability policies, consent of drivers of vehicles, participants of road accidents, regarding its circumstances, drivers have no signs of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs. In case of non-compliance with at least one of the mandatory conditions for the European Protocol, the call of the relevant unit of the National Police to register the accident is mandatory.
If drivers used the European Protocol, they: have the right to leave the scene of the accident, are released from the obligation to inform the relevant unit of the National Police of Ukraine about the accident, released from administrative liability for causing an accident, must no later than three working days Accident to apply with your copy of the completed European Protocol to the insurer with which they concluded a contract of compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of land vehicles.
If the participants exercised the right to register the accident without the participation of authorized employees of the relevant unit of the National Police (drafted the European Protocol), the amount of insurance indemnity may not exceed UAH 50,000.
