Preferential salary taxation will be prepared for the IT sector?

The President of Ukraine has given the Government three months to develop and submit to the Council draft laws aimed at stimulating the IT sphere for legal entities, defining the criteria to be met by such legal entities, in particular regarding: - temporary features of income taxation in the form of salaries of IT specialists who are in employment with legal entities operating in the field of IT, in order to establish an effective level of tax burden to help de-shadow payroll and increase the competitiveness of domestic IT -companies in foreign markets;
- liberalization of labor relations between legal entities operating in the field of IT and IT specialists who are in labor relations with them;- Improving the procedure for carrying out procedural actions during criminal proceedings in order to prevent unjustified interference in the activities of legal entities engaged in IT activities.
The Head of State also asks to improve the procedures for obtaining permits for immigrants or stateless persons immigrating to Ukraine and immigrating to Ukraine, and for obtaining an employment permit for foreigners and stateless persons by an employer - an IT company.

All this was enshrined in the Presidential Decree of 03.09.2020 № 371/2020.
