BENEFITS FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE 'EUROBLES' ?!

The Verkhovna Rada passed in the first reading a bill setting a preferential rate for customs clearance of cars with Euro number plates.
The draft law 'On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on the collection of taxes and fees, other mandatory payments, the object of taxation of which are vehicles' (4643-d) proposes to establish that within 180 days after acquisition by law, the amount of excise tax is determined by the taxpayer covered by paragraph 98 of Section XXI of the Final and Transitional Provisions of the Customs Code of Ukraine, at the rate determined by the formula: Rate = Basic rate + Ve + Fe (where Basic rate - tax rate in euros for 1 vehicle, determined on the basis of the number of years elapsed from the year of manufacture of the vehicle to the year of determining the tax rate and is from 0 to 150 euros, and Ve - the tax rate in euros per 1 vehicle, determined by multiplying the of the cylinders of the internal combustion engine of the relevant vehicle in cubic centimeters per factor, and Fe - the tax rate in euros per 1 piece of vehicle бу).
It is assumed that the law does not apply to cars that do not meet the standard 'Euro-2', as well as cars imported after December 31, 2020.
According to the chairman of the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Getmantsev, the rate of customs clearance for cars covered by this law will not exceed thousands of euros.

In addition, deputies approved by 293 votes in the first reading the bill №4644-d 'On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Temporary Simplification of Customs Clearance of Vehicles Imported into the Customs Territory of Ukraine.'
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada in November 2018 significantly increased fines for illegal use of a car with foreign registration. In December 2019, the parliament postponed the introduction of new fines.
