There are digital services in Ukraine, thanks to which you can register an emergency situation on the road with the European protocol on the MTIBU website and in the mobile application for smartphones 'My Policy'. Now registration of an accident is possible without calling the police, filling out paper forms and traffic congestion.
To register an accident, it is enough to have a smartphone and choose one of two options - download the application or go through the registration on the MTIBU website.
We remind you that the European protocol can be used under conditions when:
- no injured (dead) people,
- drivers involved in road accidents have motor third party liability policies,
- the available consent of the drivers of vehicles involved in the accident regarding its circumstances,
- drivers have no signs of alcohol, drugs or other intoxication or under the influence of drugs.
If at least one of these conditions is not met, it is mandatory to call the relevant unit of the National Police to register the accident.
Additional conditions for the application of the 'Electronic Europrotocol' system:
- vehicles of both participants of the accident must have valid internal insurance policies. If any vehicle is covered by a policy of a foreign insurer, you must use a paper form of the European Protocol or call the police;
- drivers must have good mobile phones. At least one of the participants in the accident must have a device (smartphone, tablet, laptop) with a camera and Internet access.
